Title: The End of the First Week of Internships


Please describe your internship site by answering the following questions...


What is it? I am doing physical therapy

What kind of business is it and what kind of work do the professionals do there? The doctors help the paitionts to regan mobility of their body parts.

Where is it? Its in nym New York Methodist Hospital 7th ave and 6th street.

Tell a little about your mentor. Well i dont really have a mentor. its like i come into te office where i sighn in o show them that i came but then i just leave that offce and i go to the offcie where the physical terepy so the person that sighns my paper shes in a diffrent office that i am. shes just checking if i came at 4 oclock to make shore that i didnt leave earlier.

What happened on the first day? first day i met new people got to know most of the therepists. i didnt remember all of the names but i am starting to remember all of them.

What kinds things have you done so far? i helped the doctors with stuff they need. if they ned a ice pack or a hot pack ring them the stuff and if they need a ball that the patient needs to work with i bring it to them. i put weight for the patients the weight that the doctor tells me i put it for the patient. and i take off the ice packs and the things that the doctor tells me.

What were some of the highlights of the first week? (Memorable moments, cool things...)

When do you leave school? i leave around 11 50 because it takes me quit a while to get to my intership.

How long does it take you to get to your internship? it takes 40-50 minutes depends on the trains.

When do you arrive at home? around 5:10.

What is your schedule? (What days do you work and for how long each day?) i work monday throuht thursday from 1:00 untill 4:00

Who are the two people that can sign your time card? (Your mentor and the additional person) the second person that can sighn my time is the doctor that i work with in the physical therepy. a doctor that sees me from 1:00 through 4:00.
